                          Vorwort zu Anhang III



    Von jeder Gesteins-Probe wurde je ein erstes Stück mit ca. 50 g und ein
 zweites Stück mit ca. 10 g genommen. Die ersten Stücke sind fast alle
 orientiert, sie wurden von Nepal nach Deutschland transportiert und teilweise zu
 Dünnschliffen verarbeitet. Die zweiten Stücke sind meist nicht orientiert. Die
 zweiten Stücke blieben zusammen mit den Durchschlägen des Feldbuchs zur
 Sicherung gegen Transportverlust der Orginale in Kathmandu.

                          Preface to Appendix III



    From each rock sample two peaces were taken, a first one of about 50 g and
 a second one of about 10 g. The first pieces are orientated almost all, they
 were transported from Nepal to Germany and partly processed to thin sections.
 The second pieces together with a copy of the field book stayed in Kathmandu
 as reserve in case of loss of the first pieces during transport.
